How to delete the account

Self-service procedure, immediate and irreversible.

1. Login on /en/accedi
2. Go to /account/impostazioni
3. Click Delete account
4. Confirm by typing your email in the field
5. Confirm by clicking "Delete permanently"

You receive a confirmation email and the account is deleted instantly.

What gets deleted

Everything. In particular:

• Email and user profile
• All analyses you made (paid ones too, family plan ones if you're the payer)
• Remaining credits (analysis, referral, easter egg)
• PEC drafts generated
• Follow-ups done
• Account-related httponly cookies
• Easter eggs found (counters reset)
• Referrals you started (your links become invalid)
• Subscription history (active subscription cancelled on Stripe)

What stays

Only minimum records for legal obligations:

• Stripe payments: kept on Stripe side for fiscal/anti-fraud obligations (typically 10 years)
• Anonymized: in our systems an anonymous trace of payments remains (amount, date) with no link to you
• Security logs: recent security events (e.g. login attempts) remain in anonymized audit log for 90 days

Timing

• Main database: immediate deletion, irreversible
• Backups: rotated with max 30 day retention. Within 30 days from deletion, all your traces disappear from backups too
• CDN cache, application logs: expire within 7-14 days

Can I undo?

Once deleted, no. Deletion is irreversible. If you sign up again with the same email, you start fresh as a new empty account with new welcome credits.

To prevent accidental deletions, we ask you to type the email in the confirmation field. It's more work than usual on purpose.

Account deletion vs subscription cancellation

These are different:

• Account deletion: removes everything. Account disappears.
• Family subscription cancellation: stops renewal, but account stays active with its data and any other credits. See How to cancel subscription.

If you only want to stop paying but keep analysis history: cancel the subscription, don't delete the account.

Exporting your data before

If you want to keep analyses before deleting:

1. Go to /account/analisi
2. Open each analysis and click "Download PDF"
3. Save locally what you want to keep

Bulk archive export: in roadmap, not yet available. If needed write to hello@decifra-burocrazia.it, we prepare manually.

FAQ

Can I delete only some analyses and keep the rest?+

Not yet, it's all or nothing. Granular deletion in roadmap.

If I delete, can I get refund of unused credits?+

Only if requested within 30 days of pack purchase. See Refunds article.
